Products and facilities
CNC Laser Cutting
The CNC laser cutting machine is used to cut metals such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium with high precision and speed. The laser provides excellent cut quality and productivity on material less than 6 mm.
Laser technology has high capital equipment, running and maintenance costs, therefore a high level of business volume is required to pay back the cost of the equipment.
Our expert team of programmers and operators at each manufacturing location are geared up for the execution of complex component laser cutting. Input such as drawings or a finished sample part must be provided by the customer.
CNC turret punching creates shapes in sheet material by successively punching a series of basic shapes such as circles and rectangles. The basic shapes are selected from a rotating turret under CNC control. Edges are usually very good due to the shearing action.
CNC turret punching can produce 2D shapes including cutouts. It is best suited for custom enclosure metal boxes/brackets, from panels, boxes, etc. CNC turret punching is a cost-effective method for cutting sheet steel in moderate to long runs. It has vast tooling potential for increased versatility. This means the ability to produce a variety of components without re-tooling.
This results in significant savings in production costs and a noticeable increase in productivity. It has a great impact on working costs so we are able to produce products with excellent quality at an affordable cost. We have a large stock of the tools required for turret punch press operation. It is ideal for repetitive jobs.
CNC machine bending is a highly automated bending process. It allows high dimensional accuracy and design flexibility, providing excellent repeatability. Traditionally, CNC programming is done on the shop floor, on the CNC controller of the press brake.
However, it can result in wrong bending resulting in scrap if the drawings are interpreted wrongly resulting in wastage of material.
We use software like Dalem CNC which defines the bending sequence. Aside from that, we also use finger stop placement and simple programming for CNC controllers, resulting in high productivity and lower wastage in terms of shop floor press brake time.
It also stimulates the bending process detecting collusion. This results in lower wastage, in turn, economic manufacturing at a faster speed resulting in quick deliveries.
The knowledge and experience of press brake operators help guarantee part accuracy & economy. We provide the necessary training to give that expertise to the operators in the first place. From time to time, we organize training sessions with an organization to update the operators about new techniques and tools to improve productivity.

CNC Machined Components
CNC machining operation is one of the requisites of high-end application of steel components that are intended to ensure:
- Good aesthetics (machining provides a superior finish to a surface)
- Safety during handling (accident-free handling)
- Perfect matching of 2 mating parts fitted with a groove for housing a rubber gasket (e.g. the flame path of a spigot joint of a flameproof enclosure, flanges of pipes that are subjected to a very high contained fluid pressure)
- Reduction of wear and tear in a reciprocating motion
- Frictionless motion of rotary parts
- In reduction / incrementing speed form to another (e.g. gearbox)
CNC machining of a surface can improve the surface finish to a Ra value of 0.05 microns.
Copper, aluminium and bus bars

The applications of bus bars & profiles include low and medium voltage switchgear, railways, bus-way systems, panel boards, switchboards and many others. It feeds to the heavy electrical uses in various commercial & industrial buildings as plating cells and feeder systems.
Bus bars that are made from copper are preferred over aluminium bus bars because of the better electrical conductivity that copper bus bars offer. It is due to the greater electrical conductivity of copper, higher current requirements which enable installers to use smaller bus bars if they are made of copper.
Cabinets & Metal Enclosures
SRAK offers design, engineering, prototyping and fabrication of various sheet metal cabinets and metal enclosures for a wide variety of industries. This includes telecom, medicine, industrial, consumer goods, Mil-Spec, etc. We employ a quick quotes system for standard and custom sheet metal cabinets & metal enclosures.
Our team conducts meetings with the customer to accurately gauge if project goals and cost objectives are being met. Avoiding re-work by designing for cost-effectiveness and ease the first time around, Srak saves customers both time and money.
Engineering representatives from each production facility are involved with initial design concept and prototyping through pre-production, which means they can hit the ground running when production begins.
The process begins in the Tech Center where Srak develops the products and processes, and most importantly proves them successful. Subsequently, all tooling and associated manufacturing components are prepared for in-house production.
